Organisations understand the need to manage risk. For example, the need for compliance with health and safety law, environmental legislation etc. Lawyers, however, are often only involved in the process when a breach or potential breach of legislation has occurred.
The Holistic Approach to Risk Management overcomes this by bringing together the complementary skill sets of risk management and compliance experts from the outset, thereby fully protecting the business from both an operational, as well as a legal perspective. >

Frequently Asked Questions
We will look at your systems, processes and documentation, consider your risk and then prepare a report setting out those risks and making recommendations on how to improve those matters.
Normally, a report of this nature would have to be disclosed to authorities (eg HSE) or to someone contemplating legal action. However, because a legal expert is involved, ‘legal advice privilege’ attaches. That means that the report does not need to be disclosed to authorities or potential parties. As such your risk can be explored without the risk of exposing any potential problems to the outside world. An in-house legal team has very limited privilege, which would not apply here
Apart from the privilege issue explored above, this method achieves real compliance. Our legal experts help achieve exactly what is needed by the Courts.
The failure to take action can be incredibly expensive in terms of business disruption, claims, insurance premiums and HSE prosecution. We can work with you to deliver something tailored to your business needs.
